컴퓨터를 통한 정보의 활용과 유통은 현대 사회에서 우리 삶의 범위와 가능성을 한층 열어주는 수단으로 자리 잡고 있다. 본 연구는 지체․뇌병변장애를 가진 사용자가 컴퓨터를 원활히 작동할 수 있도록 서비스를 제공할 때 필요한 컴퓨터 접근 평가 도구를 분석하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해 본 연구와 직접적으로 관련된 미국의 다섯 개 컴퓨터 접근 또는 보조공학 평가도구를 평가 영역, 형태, 문항 분석, 장점, 단점으로 구분하여 비교 분석하였다. 향후 연구과제로 전산화 컴퓨터 접근 평가도구 개발에 대한 논의가 제시되었다.
Information use and flow through computers are a way of expanding the scope and opportunities of our lives in the present society. So, the purpose of the study is to analyze assessment tools of computer access for people who have physical disabilities and need assistance to operate computers. Five assessment tools of computer access or assistive technology needs, developed and used in the U. S.,were compared and investigated. After analyzing the present assessment tools, we made suggestions that computerized assessment system of computer access for physical disabilities should be developed in the future, based on this study.
