본 연구는 신세대와 기성세대간 나라사랑 특성 파악에 초점을 두었다. 기성세대와 비교할 때 신세대의 나라사랑 수준은 어떠한지, 어떤 부문이 높고 어떤 부문이 낮은지를 논의코자 하였다. 이를 위해 신세대의 가치관을 대표할 수 있는 대학생과 기성세대를 대표하는 것으로 판단되는 45세 이상 연령층을 대상으로 이들간 나라사랑에 어떤 특징적 차이가 있는지를 살펴보았다. 분석 방법에 있어서는 세대간 나라사랑 차이 분석과 함께 나라사랑 유형별 영향요인도 동시에 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같이 요약될 수 있다. ① 세대간 나라사랑 정신에 특징적 차이를 보인다. 신세대는 건설적 애국심이 높고, 기성세대는 맹목적 애국심, 국가안보, 국민적 자긍심이 높다. 반면, 보훈선양은 세대간 차이가 없다. ② 애국심 유형별 주된 영향요인에 차이를 보인다. 맹목적 애국심은 물질적 자긍심과 국가안보가 세대차 이상으로 강한 영향을 미치나, 건설적 애국심은 세대차의 영향이 여타 변수보다 크다. ③ 세대간 애국심 증진요소에 차이를 보인다. 신세대는 맹목적 애국심과 건설적 애국심 증진요소가 매우 뚜렷하게 구분되나,기성세대는 이러한 구분이 명확하지 않다. 이러한 결과는 토대로 향후 세대별 나라사랑 부족 요인 보완을 위해서는 어떤 노력이 필요할지를 논의하였다.
This study aims to clarify the differentforms ofpatriotism between young and older generation. For this purpose, we focused to find the particular differences of intergenerational patriotism.Survey data are collected from college students who are considered to represent of new generations and adult persons over the 45years who are perceived as representing the older generation.The resultsofthis study can be summarized asfollows.① Peculiar differences of intergenerational patriotism was discovered. The new generation has more constructive patriotism than older generation.On the other hand,the older generation has more blind patriotism,conscious of national security and national pridethan new generation.In theveterans\'mental,intergenerational distinctions ware notfound.② In the Types ofpatriotism,main influential factors were very different.Blind patriotism was influenced by material pride and national security, but constructive patriotism was influenced by generation gap. ③ Factors that promote patriotism were different from young generation and older generation.In the young generation,promotion factors ofblind patriotism and constructive patriotism were very distinct difference.But this distinction is not clearin the older generation,Based upon such results,this research discusses how to raise up the patriotic consciousness.
