This study examines the counselor‘s through self-reflective witnessing from the viewpoint of Authentic Movement, a movement version of active imagination known as Jung s psychotherapy technique, and rediscovers the value of Authentic Movement as an approach to self-reflection. To this end, I will examine the relationship between safe spaces and self-reflection of counselors, and we will look at the steps and process of Jung s active imagination and Authentic Movement. In Authentic Movements, the counselor is also called a witness, and the witness is divided into an external witness and an internal witness. The internal witness of the counselor who recognizes his thoughts, feelings, and physical reponses helps the counselor to have a self-reflective attitude of actively and exploratory examine himself through specific steps, and this self-reflective inner witness of the counselor provides a reliable, acceptable and permissive safe environment as an external witness during the counseling process. This can help clients form internal witnesses who can look at themselves, which will promote positive psychological development. Although these counselors self-reflective witnessing can be achieved through supervision or personal counseling, I hope that Authentic Movements will be actively utilized as a work of choice in the counselor s educational process.
