The purpose of this study is to investigate the process of adapting to teaching as a first-time physical education teacher with dance major. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, review of documents related to school affairs, and classroom logs. Data analysis was conducted, using Clandinin & Connelly s(2000) narrative inquiry method. The purpose of this study was to understand the story of research participants by repeatedly reading the transcribed data. As a result of the research, the story was organized with the theme of thinking about dreams, taking a step closer to dreams, practicing and challenging for dreams, and growing with dreams. The story was again built in the categories of achieving the dream to be a physical education teacher, living and continuing growth as a physical education teacher. The research also examined the process of becoming a sports teacher, adapting to the teaching profession, and making efforts for further growth.
