The purpose of this unended study is to rethink, or redescribe what is education by reading the Analects of Confucius with the hermeneutic method called intentional strong misreading. Especially this study tries to draw new academic concepts, educational imagination and insights from the first three sentences of the Analects. The first three sentences are very important to interpret consistently the hundreds of fragmented sentences of the Analects, understand the details of Confucius thought, and disclose the hidden aspects or totality of education. The tentative results of this study are as follows. The self-sufficient flow-experience(Yeol-Rok, 說樂) of education is depicted and exalted to be worthy of living for everyone. The educated man(Gunja, 君子) is willing to devote his life to pursuing and enjoying Yeol-Rok. This kind of educational life of Gunja accompanies naturally the life of searching and widening human transcendental ways(Hong-do, 弘道). The educational life of pursuing Yeol-Rok and attempting Hong-do can be conceptually divided but exist as one that can not be separated. Although these results are very far from satisfaction and just first step to educational conceptualization, they can be used as a cornerstone of educational interpretation on the Analects and making autonomous educational theory.
