In this paper, focus on the children at the local children s centers who were in the grades from 1 to 6 in an elementary school. The children as the subjects of my research have no parental cares properly because of poor environments of these low-income. This research had comparatively analyzed the influences on the improvement of the self-esteem and the verification of the effectiveness of the promotion of the sociability with the experimental group and the control group through a group forest art play therapy program. By carrying out 8 sessions of the forest art play therapy program, it was possible to analyze the changes of the children who participated in experiments. And the program could be finished with the positive results. The processes of the experiments are through the processes of deciding one s own another name, decorating one s own tree, the ring story, making an accordion book, taking a walk while closing the eyes and holding a friend s hand, etc. It is likely that regarding the insides that have the potentials of the children in experiment, it became a forest art play therapy program. This program let children experience the sounds of the winds, the sounds of the water, the sounds of the birds, etc. within the nature. These opportunities lead them to strengthen the basis for promoting the self-esteem and the sociability.
