The purpose of this study is to analyze the problem of sign terms of deaf schools from a sociolinguistic perspective in order to guarantee the linguistic rights of Deaf students. The Korean Sign Language Act stipulates that deaf schools should use the Korean Sign Language(KSL) as a teaching and learning language. Currently, in deaf schools, Signed Korean(SK) is called Sign Language(SL) without distinguishing it from KSL. KSL, which persists in this condition, is difficult to use as a teaching and learning language in deaf schools. To this end, it is proposed to use terms that recognizes the difference between the KSL and SK in deaf education.
