This study explores the content and methods of self-discovery and care education in Catholic religious education based on Catholic teaching on self-discovery and care. In Catholicism, self-discovery means that human is created in the image of God, and that he understands himself as being in relation to God, and his discovery is the discovery of God. Self-discovery is the first step for care, care must be understood as a calling, and caring includes self, neighbors, and natural ecology. Based on the Catholic self-discovery and teaching of caring, Catholic religious education suggests that four things apply: First, empathy for the necessity of self- discovery and care education, and recognition of students as loved ones with uniqueness should be emphasized at the beginning of education. Second, Catholic spirituality education for self - discovery, the object of care and responsibility should be taught in educational contents. Third, teaching Catholic human understanding as a new language of creativity in terms of teaching methods, using questions that raise questions about oneself, and talking in a welcoming atmosphere. Fourth, we propose to pay attention to the role of the religious educator as a guide to guide the direction of self - discovery.
