본 논문은 서양 철학적 접근방법을 중심으로 대순진리회의 세계관과 인간관, 인간해방과 자유, 정부와 정치의 목표와 역할에 대해 이해하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 근본적인 본 논문의 목적이 대순 정치사상을 밝히는 것이므로 대순 정치사상을 중심으로 하고 이해를 돕기 위해 서양 정치사상과의 비교를 가미할 것이다. 대순정치사상은 증산이 제창한 사상의 종교적 가르침 속에서 발견할 수 있다. 대순정치사상 역시 서양정치사상과 같이 현실을 반영하였고, 종교적 틀에서도 이상세계는 현실세계의 극복이 과제에 포함되어 있다. 구복적 종교관만이 전재하지 않고 현실적으로 민중이 어떻게 해야 이상세계를 건설할 수 있는지에 대해 설득하고 있는 것이다. 또한 후천개벽이 단순히 절대자의 역할에 의해서만 이루어지는 것이 아니라, 인간의 노력에 의해 만들어지고, 또한 지속할 수 있다는 점을 강조함으로써 대순진리회의 정치철학적 관점을 살펴볼 수 있다.
This paper is to understand the world view and perspective of human nature, human emancipation and freedom, the goal and role of government and politics of Daesoon in comparison with western political philosophers. Daesoon s basic assumption of human nature is selfish, desirous, and competitive each other in the real world. Therefore, the final goal of Deasoon s political thought is to resolve the competition of human beings. Daesoon s political idea focuses on the rearrangement of universal system and coexistence for human freedom and happiness. From this perspective, the only free government and politics is governed by free and perfect individuals. That is, Daesson s political theory means the institutionalization of political system by the general will of the fee people.
