진정한 의미에서 교육은 인간 개개인의 삶의 태도에 깊이 관여하는 것이며 그 대표적인 사례가 종교교육이라고 하겠다. 최근 중앙일보의 보도(5월 7일자, 14면)에 의하면, 미국의 대학 캠퍼스에 종교학 강좌와 종교 동아리가 부쩍 늘고 있다고 한다. 실제로 펜실베니아의 리하이 대학에서는 종교학 전공자가 2명에서 18명으로 9배나 증가했다는 것이다. 이러한 현상은 미국의 대 이라크전과 부모들의 자녀교육에 원인이 있다는 분석이다. 그러나 현대인들의 삶과 죽음에 대한 진지한 고민이 단적으로 드러난 사례이기도 하다. 종교나 교육은 모두 인간을 그 대상으로 하며 인간을 변화시키는 의도적 경험세계이다. 즉 인간의 변화에 대한 의미 작용인 것이며 그 변화의 방향은 바람직한 지향성을 지니고 있다. 이러한 의미에서, 본 연구는 인간의 문제에 대한 여러 학자들의 인간학적 논의를 해석의 틀로 하여 인간의 진정성을 파악하고, 대순사상에서 제시하는 인존의 문제를 해석하려고 한다. 또한 인존사상이 내포하는 교육적 차원과 더불어 종교적으로 완성된 존재로서의 인존의 관념이 현대 사회에 시사하는 바가 무엇인지 알아보는 것이 본 연구의 목적이라고 하겠다.
The true meaning of education is to involve oneself into every person's way of life and the main example of this is Religious Education. Recently according to Joong-Ang daily newspapers report (7th of May P.14), club activities and lectures about religion is on the rise. In fact, at Lehigh University of Pennsylvania number of people who majors in Religious education has risen from 2 to 18. And there has been analysis proving that these circumstances are caused by the Iraq war, and parents who have high concern about their child's education. Moreover it shows people’s affliction about our life and death in our time. Both religion and education targets human and are deliberate experience which changes human beings. Thus it is the meaning of human's variation and the way it is advancing has a positive aim. In this point o f view, this study, using many scholars' interpretation about hum an m eaning as a fundamental framework, will try to reveal the true meaning of human's signification and will try to interpret the questions of In-Jone which is suggested by the DaeSoon Thoughts. Also trying to find out the meaning of In-Jon in our time is the main aim of this study.
