This study conducted a survey on 451 parents of multicultural education policy school in Gyeonggi-do to find out the perception of multicultural student’s parents in seeking ways to establish a multicultural student support system. The contents of the survey were the recognition level of multicultural student support, satisfaction with multicultural student support activities, the importance and implementation level of multicultural student support items, and the perception of the establishment of a multicultural student support system. The main research results are as follows: first, multicultural student’s parents showed above average level of awareness of information about the education support office and multicultural student education support activities conducted in school, and multicultural student support policies operated by national and provincial education offices and education support offices. Second, as a result of analyzing the need for change in multicultural student support items, from the perspective of lack of implementation, ‘support for career advancement education’ and ‘support for parents of multicultural families’ were recognized as needing change because their implementation was low compared to their importance. Third, as the most necessary item to establish a multicultural student support system, they answered that it was most necessary to establish a cooperative system with schools, education support office, multicultural education support centers, and local governments. Fourth, there was a high demand for the ‘provincial education office’ as the main operator of the multicultural student support system. Based on the results of this study, some implications were presented.
