이 연구에서는 미래 사회의 핵심 역량인 의사소통 역량 중 하나인 경청하는 태도의 중요성과 필요성에 주목하여 상황 맥락기반의 실제적인 경청 교육 모형을 제안하였다. 문헌 검토를 통해 기존의 국어과 경청 교육의 문제점으로 경청 실습 모형의 부재, 상호교섭을 위한 역할 교대의 불균형, 문제해결을 위한 도구적 관점, 구체적 상황 맥락 미흡 등을 들었다. 그리고 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위해 상황 맥락을 강조한 시나리오 기반의 경청 교수⋅학습 모형을 제안하였다. 이를 위해 경청을 적극적, 공감적 듣기로 정의하고, 경청이 상호교섭적인 의사소통을 바탕으로 하기 때문에 경청 상황의 화자, 청자를 경청 대상자와 경청 행위자로 명명하였다. 또한 매순간 일어나는 경청의 섬세한 상호 공감 작용에 주목하여 대화의 흐름에 따라 변화하는 경청 대상자와 경청 행위자의 역할에 따른 경청 행동을 바탕으로 구체적인 경청 교육의 내용을 구성했다. 그리고 상황맥락을 반영한 실제적인 경청 실습을 위해 시나리오 기반 경청 교육의 내용을 예를 들어 제시했다. 경청 실습 이후의 평가 방안으로 성찰 활동이 가장 적절하다고 보고 경청 활동에 대한 성찰 교육도 강조했다. 이를 종합하여 경청 실습을 위한 사전 준비 단계, 학습자들의 선택을 포함한 경청 실습과 경청 성찰 활동 준비를 위한 자료 분석 단계, 경청 활동 성찰 단계로 나누어 시나리오 기반 경청 교수⋅학습 모형을 정리했다. 제안한 모형을 기반으로 수업을 실행하고 교수자와 학습자의 실질적 반응과 교육 효과를 측정하는 후속 연구가 필요하다.
Communication competency is an important core competency in a future society. To develop communication competency, an attitude of listening to others is necessary, and this importance should be further emphasized. A literature review was conducted to identify problems in existing listening education for good listeners. As a result, the problems of Korean language and listening education were as follows: 1) absence of a listening practice model, 2) imbalance in role rotation for mutual transaction, 3) instrumental perspective for problem-solving, and 4) lack of specific situational context. To complement these problems, a scenario-based listening teaching and learning model that emphasizes situational context is proposed. The design principle is as follows: 1) providing a teaching and learning environment where listening can occur, 2) providing scenarios containing specific situational contexts, 3) selecting the degree of self-disclosure for learners to immerse themselves in the situation, 4) analyzing and reflecting on the discourse text, and 5) learner activities and presenting feedback from the instructor who observed and investigated.
