연구목적: 본 연구는 초등학교 통합학급 교사의 통합학급 운영 경험과 이에 대한 지원요구를 심층적으로 분석하여 향후 초등학교 통합학급 운영의 실제적인 지원방안을 제시하는 데 있다. 연구방법: 이를 위하여 국내에서 발간된 초등학교 통합학급 운영을 경험한 통합학급 교사가 참여한 질적 연구물 6편을 대상으로 Noblit와 Hare (1988)가 제시한 질적 메타분석의 7단계 방법을 통해 분석을 진행하였다. 연구결과: 통합교사는 ‘통합교육에 대한 도전, 어려움과 한계’, ‘통합교육을 위한 노력과 태도의 변화’를 경험하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 통합교사들은 실효성 있는 통합학급 운영을 위해 ‘원활한 통합학급 운영과 통합교육의 내실화를 위한 공동의 노력’, ‘생태학적 관점에서의 장애이해교육 지원에 대한 요구’를 나타내고 있었다. 결론: 연구 결과를 바탕으로 논의를 통해 초등학교 통합학급 운영 내실화를 위한 통합학급 교사의 전문성 강화 및 사회정서적 측면 지원방안과 행정적, 정책적 방안 마련이 필요함을 제안하고 추후 연구 방향을 제언하였다.
Objective: This study analyzes the practical experiences and support demands of inclusive elementary classroom teachers regarding inclusive education. The goal is to propose practical support measures for the future operation of inclusive elementary classrooms. Methods: A qualitative meta-analysis was conducted on six qualitative research articles, each involving elementary school teachers with experience in inclusive classroom operation. The analysis followed the seven-step qualitative meta-analysis method proposed by Noblit and Hare (1988). Results: Inclusive teachers were found to experience “challenges, difficulties, and limitations in inclusive education” and “efforts and attitude changes for inclusive education.” Additionally, the teachers expressed the need for a “smooth operation of inclusive classrooms and collaborative efforts for the internalization of inclusive education” and “demands an understanding of educational support for children with disabilities from an ecological perspective.” Conclusions: Based on the research findings, practical support measures for the operation of elementary inclusive classrooms were suggested and future research directions were proposed through discussion.
