본 연구의 목적은 경동대학교 신입생들의 마음건강 지원 및 신입생의 특성을 반영한 심리·진로 지원 서비스 제공을 위하여 시행하였다. 조사 결과 신입생들이 대학 생활과 관련하여 알고 싶은 정보로는 학사 및 학점관리가 가장 높은 비율을 차지하였다. 입학 후 예상되는 걱정으로는 학업 어려움, 경제적 어려움, 대학 생활 적응의 어려움 등이 있었다. 신입생의 60.3% 는 대학 생활 중 어려움 발생 시 학생상담센터에 도움 요청 의사가 있다고 응답하였으며, 학생상담센터에서 상담 받고 싶은 주제로는 학업, 진로 및 장래, 대인관계, 성격, 학교 적응 순이었다. 따라서 학생상담센터에서는 지속적인전문상담원들의 진로·학업 상담 관련 전문성 향상이 필요하겠다. 또한, 신입생의 대학생활을 적응을 위하여 다양한 주제의 진로적성탐색, 스트레스 관리, 학교 적응 프로그램이 요구된다.
The purpose of this study was to provide mental health support for university freshmen and psychological and career support services that reflect the characteristics of freshmen. As a result of the survey, as the information freshmen want to know about college life, undergraduate and credit management accounted for the highest percentage. Expected worries after admission include academic difficulties, financial difficulties, and difficulties in adjusting to university life. 60.3% of freshmen answered that they were willing to ask for help from the Student Counseling Center in case of difficulties during college life. Therefore, it is necessary to continuously improve the professionalism of professional counselors related to career and academic counseling at the Student Counseling Center. In addition, in order to adapt new students to college life, career aptitude exploration, stress management, and school adaptation programs in various topics are required.
