Objective : The purpose of this study is to investigate the self-esteem and self-efficacy of middle-aged people living in Busan and Gyeongnam, and to analyze the self-esteem and self-efficacy according to the demographic and sociological characteristics of middle-aged people. Methods : From February 1st to February 29th, 2024, an online survey using Google was conducted for the middle-aged people living in Busan and Gyeongnam. A total of 169 copies of data were collected, and frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test, and one-way ANOVA were conducted using the SPSS 25.0 program. Results : The average self-esteem of middle-aged people in Busan and Gyeongnam was 3.62±0.56 points, and the self-efficacy was 3.59±0.89 points, showing the average value of 'above normal'. As a result of the analysis of self-esteem and self-efficacy according to demographic and sociological characteristics, there were significant differences in self-esteem according to age group(p<.05), spouse status(p<.05), educational level(p<.01), and subjective health status(p<.01). In addition, there were significant differences in self-efficacy according to age group(p<.05), economic activity( p<.05), and subjective health status(p<.01). Conclusion : Based on this study, it is intended to present basic data to support the healthy life of middle-aged people in Busan and Gyeongnam and to help develop healthy community programs considering demographic and sociological characteristics.
