The purpose of this study was to look back on the researcher's own life based on Jung's analytical psychological theory and dream analysis and to gain the experience of self-growth as a subjective being through internal healing and reflection. In reflecting on the essence of life and ontological meaning, the researcher developed the journey to a more harmonious and mature personality through the process of individuation in the middle age by an autobiographical inquiry. For this purpose, the researcher collected data from March 2018 to February 2020, such as paintings, personal art therapy artworks, autobiographical journals, and artworks symbolizing dreams for six months from September 2019 to February 2020, in the art therapy classes their self-growth process. The results of this study were summarized as follows: First, as an art therapist, the process of self-growth dealed with the meaning of self-exploration and psychological analysis step by step, allowing them to experience healing and recovery of unresolved conflicts, wounds, and emotions inside. Second, in the process of self-growth as an art therapist, Jung's analytical psychological dream analysis and art therapy approach played a role in accepting internal conflicts through the crisis of middle age in accordance with Jung's individuation process and finding his original self and leading the therapist to live as a true self. Based on these findings, the implications and limitations of this study were discussed.
