This autobiographical inquiry purposed to research the significance and value of experience in the finding process of self through creating artworks and writings based on the story of an art therapist. The therapist collected the research data from teenagers to Jun 19, 2022, such as work notes, artworks, journal writing, literary texts, memos in books, pictures in photo books, intentionally taken photos, artworks created during OSP (Open Studio Process) basic training, artworks of group art therapy workshop, and assignments during the MA course. The inquirer wrote journals based on various resources such as dialogue, stories, poetry, letters, and autobiographical writing. The experience story consisted of six experience stories: ‘Not Taken That Pathway,’ Seeking after Ttruth,’ ‘The Pathway to Grace,’ ‘The Way for Finding Their Voice,’ ‘The Pathway to Literature,’ and ‘The Road to Home.’ The narrative inquiry enabled the therapist to reflect on the meaning of the experience as follows: First, I accept myself as I am. Second, we walk the path of an art therapist in the rain together. Third, we have a relationship for the sake of a loving life. Fourth, I take care of myself with the heart of motherhood. Fifth, when we remember death, we become a life of abandoning greed. The artwork and journal were the mysteries of revealing the inner self hidden in the light. Based on these research results, the significance and limitations of this autobiographical inquiry were discussed.
