This study conducted LDA topic modeling, a keyword analysis method, on 69 research papers on AI-re lated art education published domestically and internationally from 2017 to October 2023. The findings are as follows. First, research on the use of AI in art education has been steadily increasing, and this trend is expected to continue. Second, AI-based art education research covers various topics, including new cre ativity in the future era, technological innovations driven by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, future educa tional prospects reflecting these changes, AI as educational content and a tool for developing art education programs, lesson plans to enhance students’ learning abilities and motivation, posthumanism exploration, and teacher training programs. Third, there has been a strong focus on developing and proposing educa tional programs. Fourth, AI-based art education research has primarily been conducted in public education settings. Fifth, AI has been confirmed as an effective tool for improving AI literacy and enhancing students’ interest and motivation in learning.
