This study examined difference in depression in relation to education of parents in middle student.
Moreover, this study analyzed the effects of parenting behavior and peer attachment on depression. This
study was conducted with a total of 484 middle school girls and boys.
The results of this study were as follows. Frist, There was difference in depression in relation to
education of parents. Second, parenting behavior and peer attachment was found to be correlated with
depression. Finally, parenting behavior and peer attachment had an effect on depression. Father's intimacy,
peer attachment-communication, peer attachment-alienation, mother's over-protection had a significant
effect on depression.
