Positive behavior support emerged recently refers to a comprehensive, systematic, and
value-based approach toward the support of individuals who engage in challenging behavior. An essential feature of Positive behavior support is the collaboration among stakeholders who are significant in the lives of individuals with disabilities because the PBS focuses on changing
environments and improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities and their families.

collaboration.
The present study reviewed 15 articles published since 1995 up to 2004 concerning
school-wide positive behavior interventions. It identified strategies, outcomes, and participants of school-wide interventions, and then analyzed elements of collaboration. The results suggested that (1)school-wide positive behavior support based on teaming and collaboration was effective in reducing problem behaviors, (2)the behavior support team played roles in developing school rules, arranging environments, implementing and monitoring programs through ongoing meetings, and (3)at least 5-year of implementation was needed with the support from school districts and universities for effective school-wide behavior interventions.
