Understanding of disorder through literature can be one way for the education of understanding of disorder. Since novel, among other literary genres, reflects the phases of the times, we can understand the view on the disabilities of the period by examining attitudes toward the disabilities in novel. Thus, the purpose of this study was to show that novel as literature among many methods of disorder understanding have a powerful and influential power that can be used as tool for the improvement of disorder recognition. With period division on the basis of the time when concentric circle in Munyeol Lee\'s novel, Baby dissolves, attitude toward the disabilities in each period is examined and the results of analysis of desires that heroine pursues following his life journey by Maslow\'s Hierarchy of Needs were as follows: Around the independence from Japan, attitudes toward the disabilities was positive by our nation\'s solid sympathy. However, undergoing Korean War(6·25), the mind of the people loses energy to take care of the others and becomes indifferent. In the time of industrialization, since we pursued solely economic growth, it turned into an alienating age without care for the others and the disabilities became separated to facilities, but as we come to pursue after welfare country, the care for the disabilities becomes positive again. Like this, the view on the disabilities is changed by the goal that the state pursues and the heroine shows a model of healthy disabilities who run an active and positive life with her own efforts despite the life is exhausting.
