본 연구의 목적은 자기성장을 위한 음악치료 활동이 발달장애아동 양육자의 자아존중감과 우울 에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 것이었다. 연구 대상자는 서울 소재 1개 병원의 발달장애센터에서 치료를 받고 있는 발달장애아동의 양육자로 실험 집단과 통제 집단 각각 10명씩 총 20명이었다. 본 연구에서는 발달장애아동 양육자의 자아존중감과 우울을 측정하기 위한 척도로 Coopersmith의 Self-Esteem Inventory와 Beck의 Depression Inventory를 사용하였고, 수집된 데이터는 Mann-Whitney U 검증과 Wilcoxon Matched Pairs 검증을 통해 분석되었다. 연구 결과는 실험 집 단이 통제 집단에 비해 자아존중감 점수에서 유의미한 향상을 나타냈고, 우울 점수에서 유의미한 감소를 나타냈다. 그러므로 자기성장을 위한 음악치료 활동은 발달장애아동 양육자의 자아존중감 향상과 우울 감소에 효과적임을 알 수 있다.
This study is intended to find out the effects of music therapy activity for self-growth on the self-esteem and depression of caregivers for children with developmental disability. This study has its object of the caregivers of children in the developmental disability center of E Hospital in Seoul, and 10 caregivers were arranged into an experimental group and a control group each; the music therapy activity for self-growth was performed 12 times for 60 minutes each time. This study used CSEI Scale for measuring self-esteem and BDI Scale to measure depression. The resuls is the group that had the music therapy activity for self-development showed meaningful improvement in the point of self-esteem and meaningful decrease in the point of depression.
