본 연구는 최근 강조되고 있는 교과교육 실행의 요구를 충족시키기 위한 특수교육 교사들의 교 과교육 역량을 강화하기 위한 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 먼저 이를 위해서 특수교육 교사의 자질 과 교과 수행 능력과의 관계를 알아보았다. 특수교육 교사의 전문성과 자질은 여러 학자들과 연구 에 의해 강조되고 있으며, 특히 우리나라의 교원양성체제 개선방안에서 제시한 신규교사의 자질과 능력에 관한 일반기준과 미국 CEC의 신규 특수교육 교사를 위한 기준에서 요구하고 있는 특수교 육 교사로서의 자질과 전문성에 대해 살펴보고, 특수교육 교사로서 갖추어야 할 전문성 중 기본적 으로 특수교육 교사는 일반교사와 마찬가지로 교과교육 전문가로서의 전문성을 갖추고 있어야 함 을 제시하였다. 그리고 이를 위한 특수교육 교사의 교과 지도 역량 강화 방안으로는 첫째, 특수교 육 교사 양성과정의 개선, 둘째, 특수교육 교사를 위한 교과교육에 대한 현직 연수 강화, 셋째, 특 수교육과 일반교육 전문가 간의 협력을 제시하였다.
This study is to inquire the present problems and issues of the subject's instruction for the students with disability. Teachers of the students with disability should be establish an authority in their subject's instruction. To keep highly qualified competency in the subject's instruction for the students with disability, teacher's professionality should be demonstrated in teaching the subject contents. This study makes suggestions as follows. First, one of suggestions is change of pre-service education curriculum in the subject's instruction for students with disability. Second, the special education teachers need in-service education of instructional contents and teaching skills in the subject's instruction for students with learning disability. In order to provide effective in-service education for teachers, it is important to identify required skills for special education teachers to perform their jobs and to provide in-service education based on the skills. Third, last suggestion is the collaboration between the special educators and the general educators.
