본 연구는 병사의 군 생활 스트레스 및 희망과 군 생활 적응과의 관계를 알아보고, 병사의 군 생활 스트레스와 적응과의 관계에서 희망이 어떠한 중재효과를 나타내는지 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 병사 476명이었다. 자료분석을 위해 상관분석, 위계적 회귀분석과 이원 변량분석을 사용하였다. 연구결과, 병사의 군 생활 스트레스는 군 생활 적응 및 희망과 부 적상관을 보였고, 군 생활 적응과 희망은 정적상관을 나타내었다. 병사의 군 생활 스트레스 와 군 생활 적응과의 관계에서 희망의 중재효과를 살펴본 결과 희망은 병사의 군 생활 적 응과 스트레스를 중재하는 변인으로 확인되었다. 즉, 희망의 수준에 따라 병사의 다양한 군 생활 스트레스로 인한 군 생활 적응의 정도가 다르게 나타났다. 따라서 군은 병사들의 군 생활 스트레스를 줄이기 위한 지속적인 노력과 더불어 군 생활 스트레스 상황에서 희망과 같은 긍정심리가 병사의 군 생활 적응을 돕는 요인으로 밝혀진 바, 병사들의 희망을 높일 수 있는 프로그램 개발과 적용이 병사들에게 필요하다고 하겠다.
The purpose of this study was to examine the moderating effects of hope and the impact of this variable on the relationship between military life stress and adjustment of soldiers. The subjects of this study comprised 476 soldiers. The collected data were analyzed by means of Pearson\'s correlation, hierarchical regression analysis and too-way ANOVA. The results are as follows; It was observed that the soldier\'s stress showed significant negative correlation with hope and adjustment, whereas their hope revealed a significant positive correlation with adjustment. The hierarchical regression analysis indicated that their hope had a moderating effects upon military life stress and adjustment. In terms of the relationship between military life stress and adjustment of soldiers, higher levels of hope increase adjustment. In conclusion, military authorities should work to help soldiers to decrease their stress. In addition, a program to enhance the soldier\'s hope should be developed and implemented.
