Problem drinking among oder adults is a hidden problem, frequently overlooked by professionals, family members, and others. Alcohol-related problems among older adults and addressed infrequently in gerontological and addictions literature. Few studies have examined predictors and correlates of alcohol abuse among elderly people. Fewer have investigated the efficacy of early identification, outreach, and assistance strategies. Particularly in case of older women, several investigators assert that because they can meet face to face with other sense of loss which originate in feeling of loneliness and depressive disorder, or live longer than man spouse, the risk of drinking is more serious than older man or younger women. This study was focus ord'what is the drinking problem in older women's life?' and to approach the reality of drinking experience among aged 65 years or older phenomenologically using linguistic document which get from oral report by interview with older women who have undergo drinking. I found four meaning subjects 'empty stomach by hungry feeling', 'curer', 'elation' and 'grow up mind' from analyzing interview with eight participants. Social function problem, behavioral problem, family members and interpersonalrelational problem derived from older women's drinking behavior is suggested also as a the starting point to evoke social interest and study for liking social services.
