German sports badge system started at 1912 and became 100th anniversary in this year. Sports badge system
is recognized as national health project awarding gold, silver, and bronze badges through body and fitness
level test for each age group. By 2011 a total of 891,706 people received the sports badges, and 75% of them
were adolescents(677,260). In addition, among adolescents received badges female students (341,519)achieved
more than male students(329,168). Furthermore, youth with disability participated in this project remarkably
more than adults with disability. Sports badge system as German national health project focused on youth,
which will be healthy adults, rather than adults.In 100th anniversary Business improvement of Sports badge
system, the participation will extend on further age group from 7 to 100, and mini sport badge project will
extend to 6 years old children for healthy cognition and family participation through having fun. German
sports badge system is promoting various program for the youth. Therefore, this study was to review youth
health project through German sports badge system with considering domestic condition which is limited on
school physical education activities.
