이 연구의 목적은 어린이집을 이용하는 어린이들에게 안전한 보육환경제공과 영유아대상 안전교육을 통하여 어린이집에서 안전사고 예방은 물론 유아의 안전의식과 안전능력을 향상 시키기 위한 효율적인 안전교육으로 영유아에게 안전의 중요성을 인식 할 수 있도록 하는데 있다. 어린이집내의 안전사고를 예방하고 안전사고 문제를 해결하기 위해 가장 좋은 방법은 사고가 발생할 수 있는 상황에 대한 지각과, 예방법을 익히며 예방을 위한 올바른 실천을 할 수 있도록 교사와 영유아, 가정과의 연계로 지속적으로 교육하고 관리할 수 있도록 하여야 한다.
