The purpose of this study was to compare document system, objectives, contents of physical education
curriculum between Korea and France. and to gain basic datum on the developmental directions to present
necessary materials for organizing and running a new physical education curriculum in the future through
investigating, comparing and analyzing the elementary and middle school physical education curriculum in
France. Although Physical education curriculum of France has not been changed since 2008, there are so
many similarities between the Physical education curriculums of two nations. therefore, this study may have
important implications for the way revising or development of our physical education curriculum. and new
educational policy researches which are based on this study are required to narrow gap between development
and application of physical education curriculum.
