Influences of group recognition rehabilitation program using catur-samgraha-vastu (四攝法) on recognition function and depression symptom of the aged with light dementia in regional society were investigated through occupational therapy process. The subjects were 22 old persons with dementia who use D nursing home in Kcity. 'The study was carried out 16 sessions for 24 weeks from June 2011 to Sept. 2011, until follow-up assessment by performing group recognition rehabilitation program To test influences of the program on recognition function before and after treatment and depression symptom, One group pretest-posttest design as quasi-experimental design was applied. Compared to before, after group recognition rehabilitation program using catur-samgraha-vastu, recognition function of the aged with light dementia showed statistically significant increase, by which effect of the program was proved. And depression symptom showed statistically significant decrease. Group recognition rehabilitation program using catur-samgraha-vastu, where occupational therapy process model was applied was effective in improving recognition function and decreasing depression for the aged with light dementia.
