The purpose of this study was to investigat the effect of a 12-week combined exercise program on the body composition,
blood pressure, resistin, and inflammatory markers of middle aged obese women. The participants had a 12-week combined
exercise program 5 times a week/80 minutes a day with 40-70% HRmax. The participants were 30 obese women 40-50 years
of age with BMI and %body fat, greater than 25kg/m and 30%, respectively. The study participants did not do any regular
exercise and did not have any metabolic or orthopaedic problems. Body composition, blood pressure, resistin, and
inflammatory markers were measured at baseline, 6 weeks, and 12 weeks after the intervention.: After 12 weeks of the exercise
program, the body composition, blood pressure, resistin, and inflammatory markters all showed a significantly decrease. In
conclusion, this study shows that combined exercise program has a positive effect on the body composition(P<.001), blood
pressure(P<.001), resistin(P<.001), and inflammatory markers(P<.001) of obese womens in their 40-50 years, which will help
control obesity and prevent cardiovascular disorders
