This study aims to search weaknesses of the current system of in-service education for childcare staffs and provide strategies for improving them. According to previous studies and an interview with an government official, the weaknesses are defined as insufficient subjects in curriculum, inadequate time for getting the education, shortage of substitute teachers, and limitation in accessability to the educational sites. The present study proposes several strategies as follows: to vary the curriculum of in-service education, to introduce on-line learning to general job education part and a credit saving system in order to ameliorate the limited accessability, to build a total management system of the in-service education, and to modify the time and duration of the education.
