본 연구의 목적은 지금까지 국내 봉사학습 관련 연구들을 분석하여 우리사회 봉사학습의 현황을 짚어보는 것이다. 이를 위해 국내에서 발행된 봉사학습 관련 학술연구와 학위논문 80여 편을 4가지 유형으로 분류하여 살펴보았다. 분석 결과, 봉사학습에 대한 이론적 탐색 연구들은 대체로 봉 사학습이 가지는 속성이나 이론적 근거에 대해 공통된 의견을 보이고 있 으나 구조화나 교육과정과의 연계 정도에서는 관점을 차이를 보였다. 또한 주로 미국에서의 봉사학습에 대한 논의를 중심으로 연구가 진행되고 있었 다. 봉사학습의 효과에 대한 연구들은 개인적 성장, 지적발달과 학습, 사회 적 성장 등 다양한 영역에 대해 봉사학습의 효과를 확인하고 있었으나 연 구대상-대학생, 중고등학생-에 따라 상대적으로 주목하고 있는 효과가 다 르게 나타났다. 다음으로, 봉사학습 관련 교수학습모형을 개발하는 연구는 주로 초․중․고등학교에서의 교과목과 관련되어 이루어졌으며, 대부분이 특정 교과목-도덕, 사회, 가정-과 연계하여 개발되어 다양성이 더 요구되었 다. 마지막으로, 실태조사나 사례연구에서는 대체로 참여자들의 만족도나 봉사학습에 대한 지속성의 의지는 긍정적으로 나타난 반면, 실행과정에서 겪는 문제점은 지속적으로 나타나고 있음을 보여주고 있다. 특히 지역사회 와의 연계 부족, 시스템의 부재, 학교나 기관의 지원 부족 등에 대해 공통 적으로 문제점으로 지적하고 있다.
The purpose of this study is to understand the current situation of service-learning in our society through the analysis of domestic researches. To this end, this study looked at 80 Journal and thesis about service-learning classified into four types examined. The results are as follows. First, Studies on theoretical exploration have common opinion about attributes of service-learning and theoretical basis. but they disagree with the structuralization and degree of connected with curriculum. also most studies focused on a discussion on service-learning in the United States. There were various areas of interests-personal growth, intellectual development and learning and social growth and so on- in studies on analysis of effectiveness. but they have different interests depending on an object of study. Studies on development of teaching and learning model have been done on the subjects in elementary school, middle school and high school, specially moral education, social studies and home economics education. Finally, Research on the actual condition and case study showed that most of the participants were satisfied with their experience and they want to keep the service learning. but they also said that the problem about execution process keep showing up, especially lack of connection between school and community, shortage of a proper system and lack of support in school and service institution.
