본 연구는 보육교사의 교사효능감에 따라 교사직을 지속적으로 유지하고자 하는 교사직 지 향성의 경향과 지향이유에 대한 분석을 통해 영유아 보육의 질적 수준을 가늠하는 중요한 내 적 변인인 교사의 교사효능감의 중요성을 시사하고, 교사직 지향성과의 관계를 분석해 보고자 이루어졌다. 연구의 대상은 서울⋅경기⋅인천 지역에 근무하는 어린이집 교사 264명이었다. 분 석 결과 일반적 교사효능감과 개인적 교사효능감에 따라 교사직 지향성과 지향이유 대부분의 하위변인에서 차이가 있었다. 교사의 효능감이 높은 집단이 낮은 집단에 비해 교사직 지향성 이 높았으며, 교사직을 지향하고자 하는 이유에 있어서도 더욱 긍정적인 것으로 나타났다. 또 한 교사직 지향성과 지향 이유의 모든 변인사이에 정적인 상관관계가 나타나 보육교사직에 대 한 긍정적인 성향이 교사직을 계속적으로 유지하게 한다고 볼 수 있었다.
The purpose of this study to examine difference of children's day care providers preference for the occupation and the reasons by teacher's efficacy belief. The subjects of this study are 264 teachers, who are in day care center of Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggido province. The study surveyed teacher's efficacy belief and job preference with questionnaire. The collected data was analyzed by mean, standard deviation, t-test and pearson's correlation. Findings of this study are as follows. First, there were significant differences in job preference of day care providers according to teacher's efficacy belief. The more positive group in teacher's efficacy belief was the higher job preference of day care providers. Second, children's day care providers preference for occupation was correlated with the reasons for job preference. According to the results of this study, it is known that the day care provider's job preference and its reasons are related with teacher's efficacy belief. It is necessary to development of individual inner variables for day care providers, so that they can continue to engage in the field of day care for better quality teaching.
