The purpose of this study was to see the perception of the would-be young
child teacher's of human rights education for young children. The Subjects in
this study were 201 of the college students(1st grade-67, 2st grade-70, 3st
grade-64) specializing in early childhood education at H college located in
Jeju-Do. The questionnaire for the perception of the college students specializing
in early childhood education of human rights education for young children was
constructed on that of Previous researchers(Ju, 2005; Jo, 2002; KICE & Korean
National Commission for UNESCO, 2000). The questionnaire consisted of four
categories.
The results in this study were as follows. First the would-be young child
teachers thought child's human rights was very important. Second, they thought
that inappropriate circumstances of early childhood education centers violates
child's human rights. Third, they thought aims of human rights education for
young children. is to learn community senses. Forth, for vitalizing operation of
human rights education for young children. they thought that teacher's drastic
switch in human rights education for young children is necessary.
