In order to analyze the effects of FUG program based on Structural Cognitive
Modifiability(SCM) on young children's cognitive functions, sixteen children from
3-7 years of age participated in the training program for 6 weeks. Digit span of
K-WISC III and Conners Abbreviated Teacher Questionnaire were administered to
evaluate attention focusing. Stroop test was administered for inhibition performance
and Lahi test was used to test information procession speed.. CTONI, the nonverbal
intelligence test was also delivered. Additionally Additional 15 children serving as a
control group were administered with the same tests. Results showed that FUG
program helped young children to improve attention, inhibitory ability, processing
speed and nonverbal intelligence such as analogical, categorical and seriational
abilities.
