영문초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate ‘What is the effect of the Small Group Training Counsel¬ing through the Self-progressive Program on Junior college female students’ Level of Life Situation Adjustment?’, and hypotheses are the' following: Hypothesis L Small Group Training Counseling through the Self-progressive Program will give partially significant change to the scales of six concerns (School, Family, Character, Society, Friend, Moral valued), Hypothesis 2, The experienced group of Small Group Training will use 3 types’ Behavior Adjustment Mechanism with more balance than an inexperienced group, Subjects of this study were 120 freshmen of the G female junior College whose Lie-scale percentile under the Standard Adjustment diagnosis test was within 75%, who tend to feel much worry and agony under the normal interpretation(more than 75%), and who were 14 freshmen(experimental group 12, non treatment group 12) from 40 freshmen who wanted a group counseling. Instruments and Statistical treatment: Practicing pre-post test with standard adjustment diagnosis test(751), and applicating the T-test about difference between the mean of each group and sub-scales, this study examined the significance. The Experiment Period was Ⅱ weeks, Small Group Training had 90 minutes’ session once a week on adequate time, and members in the experimental group were participated in group counseling for total 17 hours. In group counseling, members in the experimental group had to act group activity with experience centered study method keeping “Here & Now,” “I & You” in mind as for as possible. The results of this study are as follow: Comparing experimental group practiced Small Group Training Counseling through the Self-progressive program with nontreatment(control) group, the level of worry and agony was low in school and family life scale, in social life and company relationship scale, and there was no significance of change in character and moral value scale. Additionally, comparing experimental group practiced Small Group Training Counseling through the Self-progressive program with nontreatment(control) group, it indicated that clients properly use Defense, Escape, Agression Mechanism together in life situations, Consequently, the Small Group Training through the Self-progressive program applied to this study showed that each member understand and accept oneself more actually, and be a self-opened personal, as a result of it, they acquire not only self-development but ability of adapting to life situations.
