Over several hundred years Confucian tradition has ruled the family system of Korea on the bases of moral codes to govern the fine human relations. But in modern times they have just turned to the clothes of moral rules of Korea . The reason why they do not fit for the modern Korean people like past ages lies in the changes of social structure. It is natural that when the elementary order of human relations has changed, and the way of life of the people has also changed, social codes must necessarily be changed, and as a rule there comes conflict and complication between generations. It is generally acknowledged that in the process of modernization of a society from its feudal society, established generations has strongly become conscious of the past moral codes in its interior spirit. On the other hand, new generations are always feeling for the democratic ideas in their consciousness by virtue of democratic education of modern times. However, because of the polarization of the view point of value and social codes, the complications between generations, and between parents and children have been deepened more and more. So the result is that the influence of parents for their children has not only been weakened but also youngsters in a family have run wild bit a bit. And also in school the teachers and students has so opposed each-other- in the view point of value that there' has happened chaotic circumstance in the administration of education and thus it is impossible to anticipate desirable effects of school education. It is absurd to regard the complications of the generations as temporal resistance and lack of morality of younger generation, on the other hand, one must try to seek for the fundamental cause, and the method to harmonize different moral codes and opposed view point of value between old and new generations. In this treatise, the writer tried to look into these problems by means of sociology of knowledge. Sociology of knowledge serves for the important conceptual tools in analysing these problems, so that the writer believes that the method of sociology of know ledge as an educational method, will be of use for solving the complications between generations, and the problem of polarization of old and new generations. Furthermore, sociology of know ledge argues how sociological world is formed according to the dialectical relation between human and social reality, and argues also how human being as a free existence has established sociological world. And it demonstrates sharply how social reality has been influencing on the human being.
