The ultimate purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of music activity using Eurhythmics on
aggressive behavior of children. For the research process, experimental study intended for the kindergarten
students located in Gyeonggi-do was conducted. A total of 56 students, 28 per group, were assigned to
two different groups. Among them, children with aggression score of 70 or more out of 104 were selected
for intensive observation, and music activity using Eurythmics were carried out twice a week for five weeks
with these children. The result shows that the aggression score of children in an experimental group who
participated in the music activity using Eurythmics represents significant difference in especially verbal
aggression. The physical and verbal aggression level of children in the experiment group that used to
show high aggression level have decreased significantly after Eurythmics music activity. In conclusion, the
comprehensive result of this research supports that the music activity using Eurythmics has an effect on
children’s aggression level and its impact on verbal aggression level is higher than physical level. This
study is meaningful in dealing with the subject of the impact of music activity on children’s aggression
level unlike the previous studies that have been confined to the influence of music therapy on children’s
stress level. Moreover, it is significant in suggesting the possibility of decrease the verbal aggression of
children when making use of Eurythmics music activity.
