This study was performed in order to see changing process by using Internal Visualization Format(IVF)
of Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy(STST). The study participant was a single case of female
college student who knows her thinking, behaviors, and coping strategies are unhealthy and wants change,
but cannot rationally control or regulate her behaviors and experiencing deep frustration with severe
suicidal ideas. For data collection, a total of five sessions, from the next session of application to the
termination of efficacy report, were recorded. The results were obtained by inductive approaches using
emic coding and structure coding, after meaningful contents related to the client's change from the report
were collected. A total of 61 meaningful statements were reported and categorized into 32 themes. Part
of these themes were categorized into four categories, that correspond to the four meta-goal domains of
STST. The rest of the themes were categorized into nine domains. This study showed effectiveness of
Satir's IVF in improving client's self-esteem and achieving four meta-goals of Satir's therapy. This study is
expected to be a helpful material for understanding Satir's IVF and a reference for counseling practitioners
who want to make more time-efficient counseling process.
