학습장애 아동들은 지속적인 동기문제와 학업 어려움을 겪고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 이 제껏 학습장애 아동을 위한 교수접근은 주로 교수설계에 초점을 두었고||| 이들의 동기설계는 간과하여 왔다. 특히 많은 연구들은 학습장애 아동의 특정한 동기문제와 그에 효과적인 특 정 중재 제공에 관심을 두었다. 이러한 한계점으로부터 본고에서는 학습장애 학생을 위한 교수설계에서 주의집중||| 관련성||| 자신감||| 만족감이라는 4개의 동기요소들을 균형 있게 통합 한 Keller의 ‘ARCS 동기모델’ 적용 방안을 고찰하였다. 이를 위하여||| ARCS 동기모델의 개념||| 구성요소 및 실행절차를 살펴보고||| ARCS 동기모델이 학습장애 학생의 동기적 특성과 학업적 요구에 어떻게 부합되는지를 분석하였다. ARCS 모델 적용의 한 실례로서||| 12개 하위영역의 동기유발 전략들과 실행 10단계를 사용하여 학습장애 학생의 교수설계에 적용하여 보았다. 마지막으로 학습장애 아동을 위한 수업설계와 관련하여 ARCS 동기모델 적용상의 시사점을 논하였다.
Students with learning disabilities(LD) have experienced continuous motivational problems and learning difficulties. Nevertheless||| the instructional approach for them has mainly focused on instructional design||| not motivational design. Especially||| many studies have interested in a specific motivational problem and a specific effective intervention. The purpose of this study is to apply Keller's ARCS motivational model to the instructional design for students with LD||| in relation to four motivation categories (attention||| relevance||| confidence||| & satisfaction). For this purpose||| this paper examined concepts||| constructs||| and working processes of the ARCS model||| and discussed how the ARCS model is connected with motivational characteristics of students with LD. This paper also analyzed the relation between the ARCS model and IEP process||| and suggested one example in practice about the application of the ARCS motivational design. Finally||| implications were discussed regarding an application of the ARCS model to the instructional design for students with LD.
