As an anthology of poems edited in the Yuan Dynasty of China, 『 Guwenzhenbao』 collects many works, most of which are exemplary poetry and prose. Collecting poetry and prose in the division of former collection and latter collection, they were propagated to Korea and Japan to be highly prevalent, being highly welcomed by many intellectuals. Twekye throughly interpreted 『Guwenzhenbao』 with his literary men to make them appreciate 『Guwenzhenbao』 correctly and create poem and sentences in right manner. Finding the literature where questions and answers were recorded, which Twekye exchanged with his disciples while he interpreted 『Guwenzhenbao』 (very prevalent in the Yi Dynasty) as the text of poetry and composition, the author checked the features. Following the conventional method to interpret Confucian classic while reading and explaining, 『Guwenzhenbao』 Twekye used diverse methods for easier understanding. Basically expounding by inserting grammatical factor for poetic words and poetic phrase with commencement of commentary, the explanation of letters or poetic words, Twekye also used the then colloquial expression such as Hangeul or vulgar saying for interpretation. Then, interpreting more precisely by quoting Korean annotation in the 『The Grand Detailed Collection of Guwenzhenbao』, he judged whether the questions of his disciples were right or wrong and explained authentic precedent by mobilizing abundant knowledge on the background. Some parts talked on the propriety of poetic method, commenting whether poetic words were used properly. In this way, Twekye checked the works collected in 『Guwenzhenbao』 in many ways to interpret them in diverse methods. Reading this record of lecture where questions and answers with disciples are recorded, we can feel the affection that Twekye had on 『Guwenzhenbao』 and their pure literary inquisitiveness. The power for the interpretation with such elaboration for literary works which is not Confucian classic might be originated from their high learning desire.
