The purpose of the study is to analyze between the real history and film criticism on the Oliver Stone's Alexander the Great. The director approached Oxford University's professor Robin Lane Fox about looking over the script for historical accuracy. Stone is fascinated by two aspects of Alexander: his pan-nationalism and his pan -sexualism. He shows him trying to unite many peoples under one throne while remaining equally inclusive with his choices of lovers. Although his effort of the new Alexander's character, the movie has many historical errors, such as the exaggerated Oedipus complex, the homosexual sex, and the conspiracy theory. I have always admired Oliver Stone's courage in taking on big, challenging films, and his gift for marrying action and ideas. But Alexander is not a success, it is ambitious and risky and incapable of the inanities of Troy. Besides the film doesn't at ease with itself and yet leaves too much unsaid.
