본 연구는 백제의 산천제사를 사비시기를 중심으로 살펴본 것이다. 우선 『삼국사기』 제사지 신라조에 보이는 구백제지역의 산천제사에서 사비시기 산천제사를 찾아 볼 수 있었다. 『한원』 괄지지의 내용을 통해서는 사비시기 五嶽의 존재를 생각해 볼 수 있었다. 그리고 사비시기에는 三山 및 諸山川도 있었다. 이로 볼 때 사비시기 산천제사는 삼산, 오악, 제산천이 있었으며, 여기에는 당시의 영역관념이 반영되어 있다고 하였다. 이러한 사비시기의 산천제사는 한성-웅진시기의 산천제사를 중국 禮制를 수용하여 정비한 것으로, 다른 국가제사의 정비와도 긴밀한 관계를 맺고 있었다. 즉 사비시기 국가제사는 『주례』 단계의 국가제사를 이해한 것으로, 人에 대한 제사는 仇台廟, 天에 대한 제사는 天과 五帝神, 그리고 地에 대한 제사는 산천이 중심이 되어 정비되었다고 하였다. 이상과 같은 사비시기 산천제사는 유교 산천제사의 규범의 영향을 받아 등급이 정해졌는데, 삼산과 오악은 大山, 제산천은 小山川으로 인식되었을 것이라고 하였다. 그리고 산천에 대한 제사는 그 지역의 수호신에 대한 제사였고 이것은 그 지역세력과도 밀접한 관련을 가지고 있었다. 이러한 산천을 사비시기 백제왕실이 국가제사에 편제한 것은 지배체제 확립을 위한 하나의 방편이었다고 하였다.
This studying was focused on Sancheonjesa(the rites for mountain and stream) of Baekjae around Sabi period. First, the rites for mountain and stream around Sabi period could be seen on Jaesaji Sillajo of 『Samguksagi』 about the rites for mountain and stream in the old Baekje area. The existence of Oark(five rough mountains) of Sabi period could be studied by the contents of Gwaljiji of 『Hanwon』. Also there were Samsan(three mountains) and Jesancheon (the rites for all the mountains and Streams) in Sabi period. As mentioned, Sancheonjesa in Sabi period consisted of Samsan, Oark, Jesancheon and these reflected territorial concept. Such Sancheonjesa of Sabi period was modified of the one of Hanseong-Woonjin period accepting Ryeje of China and it was closely related to the organization of other rites of the country. That is, country rites in Sabi period was grasped from 『Joorye』 out of country rites, and rites for Human was organized on Gutaemyo, rites for heaven on heaven and five king gods, rites for earth focused on Sancheonjesa. Sancheonjesa of Sabi period was graded influenced by the standard of Sancheonjesa of confucianism, that is, Samsan and Oark as big mountain, jesancheon as small mountain. And rites for mountain and river was for the guardian god in the region and this was closely related to the regional power. Such organizing sancheon into country rites regarded big mountain and small mountain was seen one of measures establishing ruling system in those Sabi period.
