This study aims at searching for the way of using them modernly by utilizing
tales of Yi-hwang. Especially, it was emphasized on the way to tell a story
by connecting the works about Yi-hwang’s birth to the works about his growth,
study and maturity.
To accomplish this study, the following procedure was formed. Firstly, from
each unit story, the original story and its characteristic were considered. The
main original story and the mediated story were divided and the other creative
stories were made by combining two. This procedure was repeated two times.
The transformed stories were divided into ‘transformed story 1’ and
‘transformed story 2'. Modification and addition were done to tell a story using
two transformed stories so that ‘Creative Story’ was made. It is the complete
product of storytelling connected to tales of Yi-hwang. The writer named it
Yi-hwang Creative Story. However it is not the final goal but the first
completion of source to use it as cultural contents. The writer provides a basic
characteristic style and role to use for follow-up research of ‘Game Storytelling
Utilizing Yi-hwang Story’. On the basis of it, the researches for the detailed
object of discussion will go on as follows: ‘The Game Style and Storytelling
Structure of Yi-hwang Tales’, ‘Space Time Storytelling of Background’, ‘Item
Composition and Yi-hwang Tales’ and ‘The Phased Game Story Composition
of Yi-hwang Tales’.
Therefore, this study drew up measures to make various cultural contents
about Yi-hwang by providing a newly finished storytelling source. Because
the narrative factors of tales about Yi-hwang were utilized like an organizing
method of the heroic narrative tale and it has a significance to be transmitted
and utilized tales modernly through storytelling.
