Children show their inner condition, and their feeling and attitude to themselves through various artsplay. I want to study whether there is any relation between self-consciousness of children and development in artsplay, and between self-consciousness and the number of colours used by children when they picture without any restriction. This says that children who are superior on self-consciousness, are superior in development in artsplay and use more colours in drawing. For this purpose, I carried out self-conscious test on thirty children who are fine ar six years old, and go to kindergarten. And I made observation on the development in artsplay, and counted the number of colours used in free drawing. As the result of the examination, I found that group A whose member are superior from the point of self-consciousness has got 67.5 point of development degree in artsplay and uses 6.2 colours in one drawing on the average, while group B whose member are inferior showed 51.4 point and 5.1 colours. This study raveals that there is a chese relation between self-consciousness and development in artsplay, and ask to offer children a good education environment to higher their self-consciousness.
