A purpose of this study is to verify the impact of political
orientation of adolescents on the intention of the political
participation. In particular, It was focused on the various types
of political participation and the combinations of the political
efficacy and political trust in 3,614 high-school students. The
data is collected in the survey by National Youth Policy Institute
and analyzed using two-way ANOVA in independent
variables-political efficacy(high, low) and political trust(high,
low) and dependent variable-the intention of political
participation(vote relevant, conventional, legal protest, illegal
protest).
The following results are gained. First, political efficacy has
a positive impact on the intention of participation in the all types
of political participation. Second, political trust have a positive
impact on with the exception of vote relevant Third, it is
showed the interaction of political efficacy and political trust on
participation intention in the illegal protest. In the high gorup of
political efficacy, adolescents in the high political trust have
more participation intention than them in the low.
