We found that these children lived in technology-rich environments, however strongly held values and beliefs associated with academic learning resulted in the creation of family rules and practices that limited children’s access to, and use of, different technologies. We argue that an understanding of family values, beliefs, practices and culture will assist educators to build partnerships effectively with families, and enhance learning opportunities for young children. -

in 5-year-olds’ usage of cohesive devices when relating their personal experiences in their spoken and written narratives. The sum of conjunction and anaphoric references (i.e., cohesive devices) was higher in spoken narrative expressions than in written narrative expressions. A Cognitive Model of Knowledge Transformation in Authoring process

were used for this analysis. The asserted cognitive model of this study identified that there were two casual conditions, (a) authoring goal and (b) authoring tool. The conditions resulted in chunking strategy and top-down approach to select sub-concepts.
