Does Grit Tell Us Something About Academic Success? - Comparing with Achievement Goals

hierarchical regressions using SPSS 21.0 to compare the variance that the variables contribute to the officially registered GPA of the selected sample and assessed how much variance in GPA is explained by grit and achievement goals. The findings show that mastery and performance-approach goals better explained variance in GPA than grit. Thus, this study indicates achievement goals are better predictors of academic success. These findings have significant theoretical and practical implications. -
