Hwanyul Yong, Eunsong Lee* 대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 6 Pages
대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 2014, 제 15권 제 3호 12 427-432 (6 pages)
The reliability of a Korean black goat (Capra hircus coreanae) to detect estrus in Himalayan tahrs (Hemitragus jemlahicus) for an artificial breeding program was investigated. Estrus in six female Himalayan tahrs was synchronized using fluorogestone acetate (FGA) sponges. Thirteen days later, 200 IU of PMSG and 100 IU of hCG were injected before removing the sponges and simultaneously injecting 5 mg of PGF2α the next day. Penetration of the cervical canal and the thickness and location of red... -

Streptococcus HJS-1, Lactobacillus HJL-37 and Bifidobacterium HJB-4 were finally selected as probiotic strains to use through the bile salt hydrolase (BSH) activity assay by using MRS media added taurodeoxycholic acid (TDCA) and the cholesterol-lowering test by using soluble cholesterol containing MRS broth. These studies suggested that the isolated LAB had an excellent hypocholesterolemic effect. -

W. C. Davis, A. M. Khalid, M. J. Hamilton, J. S. Ahn, Y. H. Park, G. H. Cantor 대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 7 Pages
대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 2001, 제 2권 제 2호 6 103-109 (7 pages)
One of the major difficulties in studying the mechanisms of host defense in economically important species indigenous to Asia and the Middle East is the lack of monoclonal antibody (mAb) reagents that define the immune systems of species other than cattle, goats, sheep, and pigs. One strategy that could obviate this problem at minimal cost is to identify existing mAbs that recognize conserved epitopes on orthologous major histocompatibility complex (MHC) and leukocyte differentiation molecules.... -

Co-occurring alcohol use and anxiety disorders is common in older adults and contributes to poor health outcomes, higher health care utilization, heightened mortality, and social dysfunction in later life. Although there are several proposed theoretical explanations for the association between drinking and mental health disorders (e.g., the precipitation model, the self-medication model, and the mutual maintenance model), few studies have tested the longitudinal time-dependent relationship... -

identified: 1) content knowledge, 2) trade-off between authoring goal and tool, 3) internal modification of content knowledge, 4) external representation, and 5) instructional knowledge. It was observed that the trade-off between authoring goal and tool play a crucial role to determine the direction of knowledge transformation. Specifically, authoring goal significantly affected internal modification of content knowledge, and the functions of authoring tool affected external representation. -
