사파이어 단결정의 취성-연성전이에 대한 실험을 행하였다. 사파이어 단결정의 취성-연성전이온도는 변형율 3.3$ imes$ $10^{-5}$/sec에서 $1000pm$$25^{circ}C$ 그리고 변형률 3.3$ imes$$10^{-5}$/sec에서는 1100$pm$26$^{circ}C$이었다. 취성-연성전이모델을 이용하여 Prism Plane slip {1120} <1100> 전위속도의 활성화에너지를 계산하였으며, 그 결과 활성화에너지는 4.6$pm$2.3eV의 범위를 가졌다. 이 활성화에너지는 에치-퍼트법을 이용하여 전위속도측정으로부터 구한 결과치 3.8eV와 유사하였다. -

사파이어($alpha$-$Al_2$$O_3$) 단결정에 있어 basal slip (0001)1/3<1120>의 부분전위의 재결합거동을 알아보기 위해 prism plane (1120)의 사파이어 재료를 사용하여 4점 곡강도 시험을 행하였다. 이 굽힘시험은 온도 $1200^{circ}C$~$1400^{circ}C$에서 그리고 응력은 90MPa, 120MPa, 150MPa에서 행하여졌다 굽힘시험 동안 basal전위가 이동하기 위해 잠복기가 필요하였다. 실험온도 범위내에서 잠복기의 활성화에너지는 5.6-6.0eV이었으며, 이 잠복기는 자체-상승운동으로 분해된 부분전위들이 재결합하는데 필요한 시간인... -

Dopant를 첨가하지 않은 시료와 donor dopant로 $CdI_2$를 첨가한 $Bi_2Te_3-10%$ 단결정을 Bridgman법으로 성장시키고 Hall 계수, 전하이동도, 전기비저향, Seebeck 계수, 열전도도 빛 성능지수를 77~600K의 온도범위에서 측정하였다. a unique dendritic structure having a feather-like morphology. The growth temperature and pressure were maintained at 60°C and 200 mmHg, respectively, for crystal growth. A green fluorescence (under UV light) that was observed in the C-dot solution was retained in the crystals formed from the solution. Cytotoxicity studies on Vero cells revealed the crystals to be extremely biocompatible. These fluorescent crystals are extremely well suited for biomedical and optoelectronic applications. -
